Andrew Pudewa: Keynote for Our East Camp

Training Minds is excited to host Andrew Pudewa as its Regent University keynote speaker. He has partnered with president Chris Jeub in his desire to spread the fire of speech and debate to educators throughout the homeschool community. He wrote the foreword to Jeub’s Guide to Speech and Debatewhere he reflected on his first experience with speech and debate years ago:

“I must confess I am somewhat of a pessimist by nature and often find the world situation somewhat bleak, but going to that first tournament actually gave me hope for our world in a way I had never before experienced. I saw and heard these young men and women preparing themselves with the writing, speaking, teamwork, and leadership skills so desperately needed in our world today—they were in many ways demonstrating the best of the educational world as I knew it. I was profoundly inspired.”

Andrew Pudewa is the director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing and a homeschooling father of seven. He addresses issues relating to teaching, writing, thinking, spelling, and music with clarity, insight, practical experience, and humor. His seminars have helped transform many a reluctant writer and have equipped educators with powerful tools to dramatically improve students’ skills.

We are honored to have Andrew come speak to the students and coaches in our program. Yet another reason to attend Training Minds Camp in Virginia Beach.
